There has been some talk on this subject this weel in the board. I, for one, am against it. It is the first step in turning this club into a business. Assuming you get paid over $600 in a year for an ad. Who is going to step up with their social for the 1099, or is the club going to get a Federal Tax ID number?

What if you get a sponsor (paid banner ad), and someone, even a club member (like me!!) and they bash the business and products. My example would be PORC, I post almost everytime they post on CAOS sending people to Pirate before they purchase. It would not be a good situation for the sponsor to ask to remove a post.

We don't need the money. If we are having issues with paying for the site, then let's pass the hat at a meeting.

We are free to do as we like, piss off who we want, run off who we wish. And I like that.

Pros and cons both ways, I just see it as more work and another source of drama so that does not really excite me. I would kinda like to keep the club ours and not pimp it out.

John, you being a private business owner, I believe has hit the nail on the head. I do not believe that someones lively hood should be compromised for the benefit of others. I being the newbie of the group, would rather pony up the funds before watching some disgruntled asshole starts dishing your business because Ricky B didn't get a picture of him ramping the curb at Burger King in his mom's AMC Pacer. .02
