So how hard is it to file a dispute with paypal and get your money back?

Bought a tranny from a guy off TTORA website.
Paid him $400 up front through paypal and he was suppose to ship the tranny at the end of that week.

Come friday he said he had some family problems and had to go out of town, says he'll ship it when he gets back to Texas.

Well, that's been 3 weeks ago and no word. Won't return my PM's or Calls. Looks like i'm gonna have to file a complaint with paypal. Just wonderin if anyone has ever had to do that and how difficult is it to make happpen???

Guess if this doesn't work i'm rounding up a Crew to Head to Corpus Christi to Dish out a little Alabama Ass Whippin. :flipoff1: Who's In :eat:

dispute it. IIRC he won't be able to accept or remove funds from his account until it is settled. Been a while since I had issues, but they will make it right, or at least do as much as they can.

I filed a dispute a while back, I wound up getting what I bought. It took a while because they give him time to respond. It is not just as simple as filing it and poof you get your money back.

And even better you can win your dispute and still never see a dime.
I bought a grill for $325 and never got the grill. I won the dispute but since he didn't have any money in his paypal I didn't get a dime back. If I'm ever in Arizona I'm going to be looking the guy up for ripping me off.

So you say this guy is in Texas? Where?

I have done it once and was successful. You must file within 30 days, sounds like you are close. It is easier if you paid by credit card to PayPal to just dispute the credit card. For that reason, I never use my bank account to pay PayPal with.

Read the fine print on Paypal, there is specific language that prevents CC companies from allowing you to do that. I only used to use my CC because I would never want to give out an actual bank account.

I no long use Paypal, it was shortly after I did the Hardline tshirts that I put Paypal in the box.

Would not happen to be a W56 that you need would it? I have one that needs to find its way out of my shop....

In a nutshell unless the guy comes through with you goods, you are probably fawked. If he does not have the $$$ in his paypal account there is nothing they can do about it. And I do not know who leaves that money sitting there.

I am with wyatt, let us know where he is at in Texas, maybe the Texas boys can handle the issue :flipoff1:

No it's a W59 tranny out of a Tacoma. Wish it was a W56. I'm gonna escalate the "Resolution" with paypal this week. Till then he's getting some harrassing calls and some threats from my Boss... Pat Nelson esq. Not sure his address, but his email is [email protected], (Fawking gay, I know) if yall want to send him some gay porn or some ****. Thanks guys, JOn
