Plasma slag in the eye

So I had a good time at bonitas on wednesday. didn't feel a thing. before we went I rushed to the shop after work and plasma'd all the IFS brackets off the frame of the tahoe I'm doing. I wear goggles while I cut, but apparently one snuck by. I started drinking, didn't feel a thing, felt great. about 3 AM I wake up with my eye on fire. it was nice. went back to sleep (passed out) a few more times. by 7 I was up pacing waitig for the doc's office to open up. I had michelle look in my eye like 10 times for something, pulling up my eyelid and all else. finally get a 9:30 appointment. I lay on the table, she lifts my lid up, there it is. piece of slag on the underside of my lid. I can't believe michelle didn't see it :

takes it off, 3mm scratch on my cornea. good times. actually after it was out I felt great. I need to put drops in, but kind of forgot today. It'll be fine, I'll have them for next time laughing I did go and buy a full shaded face sheild (smoked) to wear with a pair of shaded safety glasses. now with the 2 #2 lenses together it is about right.....and maybe no more slag in the eye dunno

Been there, Matal in the eye sucks ass. The full face shield is the way to go. That reminds me I need to order a new one.

Right on Rob! Now you know why Kelly was saying all the chicks (and even a few guys) were "fawking HOT" and it wasn't cuz he is married.

Been there, done that at least twice. Metal under the eyelid sucks. Fells great once it's out though!

yea man...been there, done that. I even had a full face shield on. I had to goto a specialist and he had to "cut" the shaving out...that was WIERD!

anyways, keep those drops man...they help out.

Speaking of.. Puttin the 03 clip on today, was trying to pull a fender flare clip outa of the fender, busted and flew straight into the ole Vision unit... Had to pull that bitch out w/ some tweezers.. Nice big cut on the tear squirter..... Good progress on the truck, just a little blurry vision now, lol

Here's the bad thing. I always wear safety glasses when doing anything. Everytime I have gotten something in my eye I had them on. But plenty of other times I have seen something hit the glasses and thought, "Damn glad I got these on. That woulda hurt." And like Brian said do the drops they do help.

yep, I have gotten **** in my eye several times and have had glasses on every time. 2 pieces of grindings while a welder at doherty's, a shingle while roofing my gpa's house and a wheat beard buried about 3/8" deep in my eye while doing straw.
I have been doing the drops 2x a day (it says 3, but I'm not going to fawk with it during the day)
