Hell, I'm all about this build. I watched and watched to try and get a glimpse of the big green beast in the desert. I hope to see him onscreen and finish this year.
Irony, yes. But, the hidden costs of entry fees, campground, food, etc, etc. Fifteen grand plus all the things needed to ride sounds like a good starting point. You can get rough estimates on cheaper ultra 4 cars, parts, fuel, etc.
The reason I ask, is to get an idea for the future. I have no hobbies besides off roading and I am finally starting to make a few extra bucks. I would like to have some kind of number to get to that would at least allow me to try and compete. It wasn't supposed to derail, but I guess I did.
