Poker Run.... Are they fun ?

I was eating lunch with my dad Saturday when dood gave me a flyer for a Poker run. I've never been on one but it sounds like a good time and its on a Sunday which works out well for me. Tell me what to expect if you've done this before

What kind of poker run? Bikes, Boats, etc? If its anything like the poker run on the river its pretty cool. Go around from place to place picking up a card, whoever has the best hand in the end wins.

Ya its bar hopin on the bike good times lots of door prizes and givaways some times you roll dice at each stop and high number wiins you could come out pretty good

Depends. Went on one in KC for bikers for babies with that Johnny Dare douchenozzle and the whole thing was a HD fest with a buncha posers. I was the only dual sport, I knew I would not fit in as I was not on an HD and wearing a helmet/gear.

I handed in my $$ I gathered from other riders, friends and turned it in and told them I'd never be a part of the ride portion again. The march of dimes aspect was what it was about and I was fine with that. The rest was like I said a HD cock fest

Went on one here in IA and it was squids on sport bikes riding wheelies all day with chicks on the back. Cool the first 2 miles, not so much when you have a couple hundred round trip and 3 run ins with troppers and town cops....nice

I have learned I am too old or just not into large group rides anymore, especially when I do not know the others or at least have a click to roll with.

However, to not sound like a fun hater, I did go on a golf cart poker run on a private lake last summer. 27 miles of private gravel, beer and golf carts....it was almost as fun as ****in a fat chick

Golf carts sound fun bones. Guys on sport bikes riding wheelies for miles at 100mph is fawking dumb. I got passed by 2 sport bikes doing that **** in the middle of Bham, weaving in and out of traffic. Only a matter of time for them...

Dude back in the day I raced a many of Poker Runs and Scrambles . They are awesome , Its a bunch guys like you and I just having a low budget good time . I miss those days , I would say jump on it son .

Walker county poker runs are usually low key, Bar to bar, Ride what you got...

usually end up hanging at the last place for a while...

And I ride my wheelies weaving thru traffic at 45 not 100... takes more skill
