Anybody in Nashville looking for a job? Decent money, plenty of room to move up, good benefits, etc. it's a field engineering job as a contractor for Att and Google fiber. I could train a monkey how to do this as long as you have some common sense.

Common sense...hard to come by nowadays.
Good luck!

X1000, I go through 50 before I find someone with real common sense :****:

Day trips only. No over night. Metro area. Or "outside of Nashville". Clarksville, tullahoma, ect.

Just let two temps go because they wouldn't even try. One was retiring army in three months. I couldn't get him off his ass to do anything at all. He sat around and stared at his phone all day.

Our company has the att mini master contract for two more years. So we have more work then we know what to do with right now.

SONOF................... If we hadn't just bought a new house, I'd be all over that. I was looking at moving to Nashville last year and none of the jobs I interviewed for panned out. Does the job require being outside doing **** or sitting behind a desk? I got the desk job and would love to do something else.

I'd say 70% outside. 30% behind a desk. Best part is the cool spots you get to go to. My first fiber placement job was the Nashville zoo. I have been in most record studios in Nash, banks, High rises, and even the governors house. I'm engineering 12k feet of fiber to Arrington vineyard tomorrow.

They are in the process of bringing fiber to Huntsville now and there are a lot of big changes coming up where we work (Utility Contractor)

Yea. Att is doing mostly commercial stuff now and new neighborhoods. Google on the other hand is hitting every single pole in metro. I have a little over 80k poles to do. Will take me years. I've done about 400 since February. We have one other guy doing them with me. But he does about 1/3 the amount I do and talks about quitting daily

AT&T is just grazing the surface in Nashville now. I'd plan for it to pick up heavily over the next few years.

You're telling me. We have fiber down almost every single street in mid Tn. It's only a matter of time before they hit the go button on residential.

Anywhere from 12 fiber drop and up. I placed some 900 the other day.

Had a few people leave. Couldn't handle the heat. Spots are still available.

Wish I lived in Nashville! Not sure if the wife could work remote or not (her company is only in Memphis)

Ain't that the truth. You'd be amazed how well everyone interviews and then suck at their job.

It's like that everywhere. I've been looking for a good auto glass tech for 2 years and get these guys that talk a good talk and look good on paper that I'll hire and can't do half what they say they can.
