I'm considering trying my hand at welding and fabrication. Anybody have or know of any apprentice type positions available? I'm located in Lebanon, TN and willing to travel a bit for the right opportunity. Any help is appreciated guys.

My help is STAY AWAY from that ****! All jokes aside it is a good trade to learn

I'm handy with anything 12 volt and most things mechanical. I've done motor swaps, sye kits, lockers, and basic fab work.I need to work on my welding and fabrication. I definitely have plenty to learn. But, I can pull my own weight.

i already know how to bolt stuff on. I said I wanted to try welding and fab. He does neither. Haha

I pass that shop to and from work every day. I never see too much going on over there. Just moving the same cars in and out of the garage.

I didn't know if they were even still in business, I haven't been on there sight since we got it shut down over daylan's and mjp's rigs being built at Amos's shop

I wouldn't work for your crazy ass. Unless I got to drive that wicked little gokart that you have/had.

I forgot to mention that I'm currently a chemist. So maybe that will come in handy if you need to know how many ppb of Arsenic is in your drinking water at the shop. Haha

Bump for new opportunities!

Well you need to be in Oak Ridge making fat bank then you can buy your own damn shop and learn as you go. Mike and I can come over and show you how to use all the stuff :****:

Or go down to Methminnville and set up shop on the DL. skully

Haha I work with a dude that did nuclear work. He loved it. But most positions worth having take yrs of part time on call to finally get hired on. His pops worked ten yrs part time to finally get hired on.

Everything at Oak Ridge in not About making bombs. Look at Oak Ridge National Lab. It's a research lab. Do everything from fish to plants metals computers. You name it. Might be some chemist jobs here. Look it up if this area is an option.

That's true. Lot of work lately on rechargeable batteries and carbon fiber. I'm trying to get the hook up with a new plant making carbon fiber stuff.
