All info you can think of. Rotor size, thickness, caliper, type of boost if any, master cylinder bore, tire size, rig weight, any other info you find pertinent. Also important: are you pleased? If not what would you change? Thanks.

Im running 78 3/4 ton chevy rotors and calipers front and rear and a stock TJ booster and a 00 dodge ram 2500 master cylinder. My brakes are TERRIBLE. I dont know what the deal is. I have a pretty good pedal and as soon as I start it up the pedal goes to the floor. It still stops ok but I have to press it all the way to the floor. Everything is brand new. I have bled it many times and I even used a power bleeder that sucked the fluid out of the bleeder on the caliper. My brakes should be awesome and I cant figure out why there not. Im running all hard line except for about 36" front and rear that is braided running down my link and then some rubber to my calipers. I dont appear to have any leaks anywhere. Im stumped :dunno:

Willwood 7/8 bore master for the rear and 1" for the front. Running 1/2 ton chevy front calipers off a 4x4 1980 4x4 pick up with 78-79 ford bronco front rotors all the way around. In 4 hi it stops no problem. In four low 1st it is pretty hard to keep it from driving through the brakes. All in all I am happy enough with them that I'm not changing the brakes. Might look to put a higher stall to help with the driving through but that is it.

I am still waiting on this guy to make that super bling setup using wilwood parts for a D60. Just messing with you blase, I got no money for it now anyways ;D

If it ain't broke don't fix it is my new moto :****:. It's part of a very big list that I just don't feel like messing with right now. I've only got money to wheel or money to R&D parts....i'm choosing wheeling!!! thumb.gif

Plus Brakes are now tied to one off Alum. hubs AKA Spidertrax pro-series knock off done by BMS.

I had 1" bore Wilwoods.... worked fab-damn-ulously. One for front one for rear, D60 calipers and rotors on junkyard chevy 60/14B Put a "loop" in some hard line near the master's so you get that residual pressure affect. :dblthumb:

Whats the deal with residue pressure valves? I have read alittle bit on them and they say if your master cylinder is low then your caliper then you need them,, I have also heard guys saying they needed them with offroad rigs. Im wondering if I need to plumb in a couple 2psi valves to help my brakes?

Id imagine on some of these radically laid out single seaters they need them since the masters and calipers are damn near inline with each other. Outside of that I wouldn't think it would be a required thing. Never had issue with brakes bleeding off in anything I ever built or dealt with. :dunno:

No boost? What was your overallc rawl ratio and tire size?

big toyota booster ( found on first gen tacomas and t100's) , gm 1 ton master cylinder w/ rockstomper adapter, 1 ton calipers up front 3/4's in the rear. works great except when truck is not running, have to give them a pump to hold on a steep hill. pedal is alittle low, but a rod adjustment will make it perfect.

Im Running twin Howe master cylinders with 3/4 inch bores Wilwood 4 piston calipers , custom hats and rotors from coleman racing out of michigan to fit my spidertrax front end so im able to run 15 inch wheels like they say you cant . Auto 350 trans , atlas 4.3-1 , 4. 88 gears and 40 inch boggers with a low ratio of 130 -1 and it will lock up all 4 tires on the pavement no problems .

Also on a side note im running Castrol synthetic brake flood , like nascar uses . It has a 1750 deg boiling point unlike the normal dot 3 with only a few hundered deg of boiling point .
