What is used to smooth out the sheet metal and welds on these bad ass buggies that are all powder coated? Does regular body filler hold up to the heat? Brazing? Or is it a lot of welding and grinding?

regular body filler will not hold up to the heat. powder paint is cured anywhere between 350 to 450 degrees. There is a type of filler that can be used that will take the heat. Its call "lab metal", its about 25 bucks for a pint though. pretty sure most everyone just takes their time ginding.

you didnt read on pirate 4x4 we use bondo (ha ha) lot of smoothing hours the filler for metal sux to use. almost takes a heat booth to make cure so you can smooth
