How does her daughter being 17 and pregnant effect her? I mean I can see a handful of ways, but what weight to they actually carry?

Isnt the sole job of the VP to check the presidents health each morning, and then go attend funerals of foreign heads of state? I think a mom who had a pregnant 17 year old can handle that.

The aide said it was decided the campaign would reveal this information now because of rampant Internet rumors that Sarah Palin's 4-month-old baby, who has Down syndrome, was actually Bristol's.

I guess that solves that. You can't be 5 1/2 months pregnant if you've just given birth 4 months ago.

I don't see it affecting the campaign in a negative way. In fact, many people that have been in the postition---or know someone in a teen pregnancy postition can relate.
