So what do you guys think my Jeep is worth without a motor and Radiator?
Just been bored lately and doing alot of thinking. I know the body is beat up, but I would include a new hood and grill and could probably get alot of the dents fixed. Have a friend who is a body man.

Has a NP205 with the Big Outputs, and the Transmission was just gone through not to long ago.
All the Heims are still tight and only 1 link is bent, but I have the tubing to fix it.
New springs on the coilovers up front.
Alot of other little stuff.

A full running rig is always worth more, I don't it would bring a whole lot without a motor and rad. Complete it could bring 25-30k to the right buyer

Would be hard to market without an engine. I also think $25-$30k would be way high. The right buyer would be someone that is from the Mars that has never seen all of the videos and pics of it rolling over and getting the **** beat out of it on Pirate. :flipper:

I agree its been beat, but most of it is cosmetic and pretty easy to fix. Nothing wrong with any of the major parts other than the motor.

This is the second time the for sale question has came up. Throw a cheap sbc in it put it for sale including the 8.1 for 17k.+-. Then go out and get you a buggy your happy with. Or put a good down payment on a build.

Good advice.

Make it run. What little you will spend to do that, you will get back. Not running, I would say it is only worth 10K, but with a couple of grand in parts and cleaning up, 17-19K

My advice.....don't post pics of it rolled over in your For Sale thread.

Get the dents fixed for a 15' picture, nothing more. That orange rig photographs beautifully. Clean it up, rattle can everything gloss black and slap a new hood on it. Youcan probably find an 8.1 long block that runs fairly cheap. I think you should stick an 8.1 back in there for the sale.

Look, not only will a light buggy kick the **** out of a heavy ass rig all day long, but you can roll the MOFO down the hill like you tend to do on a daily basis without hurting it at all. That was the main reason I ended up selling my Cruiser "Kate" in the end. I had built this fantastic tube buggy and it still had a steel cowl tied up in the middle of it and if/when I rolled it, I tweaked all of that **** and messed up the paint.

When I barrell rolled my Bash Buggy, it would take 15 seconds worth of black paint and 30 seconds to slap a new set of skins on it.

You truly like to "get it" too much to drive something with a body.

Remember, if you can get 1/3 of you investment out of a rig that has been thrashed like yours, you will be doing increadible. The internet is a cool thing, and there is nothing better than showing kick ass Cyclone vids and roll sequences, but every one of your potential buyers has seen those vids and pics. Pick a reasonable price, cut your losses and get a buggy.

I'll second that as to what I would do if I didn't want it anymore.

It will get the 8.1 put back in it because that motor goes great with the jeep and the jeep is setup for the 8.1.
I will just wait and see, I do know that I won't be happy until I have a full own buggy. Its just hard to take such a lose when I have spent so much. I know its all part of the game though.

I will figure it out, I have just had to much time on my hands this week and been thinking way to much.

Man, drop it down and throw a swaybar on it before you try to sell it. You might be surprised. Sure it's still heavy, but with your driving style I think you'd get bored in a light rig. laughing

Kicking everyone else's ass never gets boring.

You have a rig that 90% of pirate would give their 1st born to own. Once you have it back to driving, continue to wheel it, and have timmie build you a chassis, once its about time to do all the hardparts, put yours up for sale. $20k seems very reasonable for your rig. No its not bargain basement, but some hillbilly would probably pay that if not a bit more.

pretty much ditto on all of it, especially finding a cheap long block and throwing in it to get it running and sold. buying used rigs is always cheaper, so buy someone elses 2 seater tube ride with skins. Nolen is right on the skinned over body thing.
