I played around with trying to mount them more strait up and down but The main reason was they just plain dont fit under the bed any other way. Sure I could have gotten real creative and made them diferent but I dont think the owner would have liked being charged 5 hours labor to mount the rear shocks. And they work just fine mounted at a angle. Gives you more rear suspension travel:haha: :haha: :haha:
