Alright, I've never had a rig that ran on propane. But as of recently I've been looking at them a bit. If I was to go the pane route and decide it wasn't for me, what is involved in switching back to run off gas again?

I would think it wouldn't be that bad, but since I've never setup anything on pane, I have no experience to back up my theory.

unbolt the mixer and regulator,
remove the feed hose with tank, cut your hot wire to your cyliniod.install carb or efi. propane is the easiest way to set up any engine imo.

Out of curiosity, what would be the market for a used propane setup with an Impco 425 mixer and two 10 pound tanks?

They sell on here all the time for $4-600 according to the condition of the parts.
