hey guys, i know alot of you are running propane. can you tell me what compression piston would be good
running propane. i have a gotpropane kit for our 22r and we are rebuilding the motor now. i was told that you wanted to run a low compression piston
and wanted your opinion on this. i see alot of you horsepower buggiea and jeeps running propane and from the way your motors sound i cant believe you are running a low
compression.
thanks for your input

Do you still lose horses running propane, the same motor on gas has more? never ran it but that **** stinks, hard the beat the smell of a good race gas.. old Chasman fart race gas don't he.

the motor was carburated and we had problems on inclines so rather than going fuel injected like the 86 toyota's we decided to go with propane.
truck does good on propane, but it had like 211,000 miles on it so pretty wore out. we are trying to get around 180 horse with this 22r. the machine shop was the one that told me to run low compression. just didnt seam right
so i wanted opinions on this, do appreciate it. think we will go with like 11:1 pistons.
thanks guys

My motor is like 9 or 10 to 1 which ain't that high, but you'll be allrite wit that piston. But ill go ahead and tell you it will kill your power I would go with fuel injection if you could, when we swapped daddys to mass air it was like a completely different motor :****:
