I have seen it done a few times. keeps it simple when swapping to gas

I have one that was given to me when I bought my rig!! I always wondered if anyone else did it. It's a pretty cool little set up. Could take pictures when I get back. I actually thought it was a little sketchy to be honest. But that was when I first bought my rig, i've seen a **** ton sketchier since then ! Ha

What about a round fuel cell like the rail job guys use? Might be easier than making one depending on the price.

The worst part about building for propane is mounting the tank. If you have that done why not just run it???

Changed my mind on the power plant.

Not that it's a big deal, But I'm guessing that 8 gallons of gas is plenty? I think thats what tha tanks hold? I mean i know it's nothing to refill gas I was just wondering how long a tank full of gas would go compared to a tank propane. When i pack for a trip i get 4 or 5 tanks filled, thats a fun 70-100 buks! I bet you will love using gas now.. And i may be wrong about gas lasting longer?? I figured you guys would kmow. And i dont know if ya are anywhere near me, but if you or anyone else needs tha tank i have you can have it. Whoever did it did a good job welding on it.. , just weird seeing it in a propane tank I guess. I'm in West Georgia off of I 20, it's yours if you need it..

Technician.....It sounds like you may try to run your propane tank but if not, I run a 6 gallon cylindrical poly fuel tank that I got from sandparts.com. I run a 4.0L and no issues with runnin out of gas.

Down fall is they only offer 1 or 2 applications that come with a sump in the tank. Most all of the cylinder types come with no baffles or sump.

I had to steal some aircraft fuselage designs to make it work. Let me know if you want all the details to go this route. Though I think in your rig you can find room to keep from having to go my route.
