Anybody have a part number or application I can ask for at the parts store that will get me a D44 yoke that will accept u-bolts? I'd like to upgrade both of mine (waggy 44 rear and waggy 44 front) to u-bolts instead of straps, but it doesn't look as if there's enough meat on the stock/strap style yokes to drill out larger, and the holes seem like they're offset differently compared to the one yoke I have for the front t-case output that uses u-bolts.

I dont have a part number handy.. but it is the same yoke that is used on the dana 300 also. If I find the box before anyone posts I will post the number of the yoke for my d44

Do NOT go to a parts store. You'll pay wayyyy too much. ANY wrecking yard, look for mid 70s Jeep full sizes. $5 or $10 each.

my 2 cents

The only wrecking yard in these parts "only sells complete axles"... gold plated complete axles, I might add. :booo:

I'll price 'em out at the parts store and see what they want for them, I get an "employee" discount at one of our Napa stores, so maybe that will help. :D

What sucks is NAPA has stopped carrying Spicer parts (glad I got my Ujoints before Christmas!)
