Just added a new pro-comp lift to a friends 84 Toyota yesterday (5" is what he told me). Now when he starts out his truck does a little shaking and while he steers hard at slow speeds. Any ideas what this could be cause from? I have been wondering if it was his steering, it's stock now and he wants to get the cross over high steering.

Any thoughs or ideas on what the shaking could be?

Thanks,

Josh

Cross over steering solves alot of problems..Possibly one of yers..are you still running the front trac bar?

What angles are the drivelines at?? Do you have any shots of the rig you could post up??

Yeah he is still running the front trac bar. I will post up some pics later on as it's dark now and can't get a good picture of it. Anything else it might be?

Does the lift include blocks in the rear or does it have full leaf packs? If it's blocks, the shaking when starting out could be axle wrap.

is there a drop drag link? If not could be the stock drag link binding up causing the hard steering. Also if there are blocks, could of put the blocks in the wrong way and rotated the pinion the wrong direction

He had blocks in it, now it's just lift springs. I'll check all this stuff out and still will post up pictures later.

Thanks for everyones help on this.

Josh

if he just changed the spring and not the drag link that will be the problem unless he has already gone to a IFS steering box

i do have a new adjustable drag link here i was going to use before i made the change to IRS with hydro assist
