A little off topic, but if I fabbed up rear shock mounts so the are as far out as possible on the axle and angled in to the center, do the shocks have to be paralell with the axle or can they angle forward? If i use the factory brace that runs across the frame the top of the shocks will sit about 4-5" in front of the axle, is this ok? or will it help cause more axle wrap?
The other thing I was thinking of doing was running a peice of flat stock across the frame to mount the shocks to. I was going to reinforce the back side of the stock with angle iron, I already have shock mounts, just need to place them.

you can mount them however you wish, but keep in mind the farther from upright they are, the less they do. Best roll stiffness is fairly close to upright. Angle them in at a 45 degree and they have lost 60% plus of the shocking ability and most all of the roll stiffness. Angle them forward too and you now have compound angles reducing it even further.

Great for articulation, but sucks on a sidehill.

Im looking for a very flexy truck without too much height. By the sounds of what you describes, I would also be more prone to roll-over?

not as much as you think. It is more a matter of the body leaning over quickly and you getting tha Feeling of going. Not so much the actual going over.
