My tj rode from Cleveland tn to Rausch Creek a few years ago in the rain most of the way. I say rain but more than once we were doing less than 20mph on the free way. I took my bikini top off the jeep because I didn't want it to rip off going down the free way. the only thing that got messed up was my radio and that's was because it slid out of the dash about 2 inches (had a wreck in the jeep and it broke the clips that hold it in). A damp ass the first day and the rest was good. If you got marine connectors and heat shrink you should be good i'd think.
