when is reiter pit open i grew up camping and wheeling in reiter pit and wanted to camp and wheel there agian in the spring :redneck:

Camping, never. Wheeling very unlikely this spring.

Reiter Pit is dead and gone. Reiter ORV is in the works, give it time.

My group had a trip planned for the twentieth but it's looks like we are going to wait until the ground gets a but wet......more fun that way anyways :awesomework:

As of now/next spring it will be day use only..

The camp area is still in the works..

afaic it worked just fine before, I guess we will never know the agenda. Probably better off we dont know why.

A friend of mine has been volunteering with DNR for a long time at Reiter. Here is what he has to say:

Perhaps on a limited basis . . . . under DNR supervision.

Before they open Reiter to public use a critical mass of the new trails need to be complete. We will see how much trail construction is accomplished in the Spring of 2013.
