I don't know **** about these except I need one STAT. Anything special on how and where to mount them? I take it is just a new base and hose to extend it where you need it? Anybody carry these locally or do I just need to call Summit? I take it these are a pretty straightforward install? Thanks.

they are straight forward...

i JUST threw my old remote oil filter **** away...i would have mailed it to you for free....

they can be had at the parts houses iirc.....it will screw into the old OF location and have about 14" of line with it....at least that is how mine was....

i got one i took off of mine. i was on a 5.7
i only ran it on one ride. it still has the lines and all.
you are welcome to it. i am in gardendale

i couldn't make it work with the way my exhaust was run. i didn't have any problems out of the filter it was just the way my exhaust had to be run.
if you want to send it back you can have mine, i just can't use it on mine

My guess would be because of exhaust.

What he said. Not enough room to squeeze the exhaust between the link and the filter. Thanks rocfun, it only cost me $35 and hopefully it will work out ok. If not I may hit you up tommorrow.

Is this because of having your links re-done? I am just wondering why just now your rig would need it considering it is not a freshly built rig.

Yes Joel, my links were raised 5 inches at the chassis. The exhaust was cut to make this happen and currently the uncut portion is resting on the upper link

Wow, raised 5 inches. That seems like a dramatic change.

If I followed the updates correctly, he didn't have any separation at the chassis side when he bought it so 5" isn't out of line at all. (according to me)

Not really when you have zero degrees to start with :flipoff1: I haven't really measured but it is 4 or 5". Should work much better for bouncing and all around wheeling! :fish:

Guess I missed that somewhere along the line. I guess that is not a big deal then.
