Restoration project

I have made tons of new years resolutions and diets and all that crap and they all sucked. I'm fixing to do a restoration and restore this old body into a fancy new hot rod.
Here are the specs:
1982 model (33) 6' 252lbs
The bad: High blood pressure, insulin dependent diabetic, high cholesterol and glasses, and a bum shoulder that's getting worse
The good: workout everyday, ran a 5k in 38 minutes without stopping

I am going to work my butt off and put myself in a position where I can be around to watch my kids grow up and be able to enjoy things with them. I'm going to start in the morning with a 24 day diet to beeak. My bad habits and after that build some good new sustainable ones that keep me healthy. My goals are 225lbs, 28 minute 5k, 405 bench press, 650 dead lift and 225 military press. Anybody else doing a diet or "life change" post it up! I was going to put pictures but they were kinda nasty. There was so much side boob I thought it would get moved to a 35% thread :****:
 
Yea man I'm right there with ya! I will be turning 30 this year and I am terribly out of shape from what I use to be. Granted I'm far from needing to lose weight or anything like that, heck I could stand to gain about 15 pounds.
I'm 6'2" about 170 lbs
But I made a resolution to myself this year to drink less Cold Beer and more water and start working out and running to get back in shape where I can be healthy to run around with my newborn baby girl when she gets up and running around.
I have a knee that I hurt riding dirtbike years ago and it's really started giving me a lot of trouble lately so I need to be working it out unless I wanna have it operated on later and I don't really want that.

We'll see how it goes as the year progresses molaugh
 
I quit dipping a few weeks ago.

Not really trying to lose any weight. 6' 195lb (will be 27 y/o in march of this year)
Ill probably try to get back into single digit body fat again (not too far off now 12% last time I checked)

Training for the tough mudder in May in Pulaski TN (10-12 mi with about a dozen obstacles)

315lbx2 is my Personal Best on the bench ( last month )
 
6'3", 245. I'm going to start hiking around my neighborhood after dinner at night. Start doing yoga or at least some tough stretches. Had a panic moment when I bent over at the waist and tried 15000 times to pick up a wrench because I wasn't flexible enough.

WOW, all those goals and not one mention of increasing how far y'all can mash your wife's bathroom scales!!! Personally I will get 205 by years end. I am finding it hard to find a good base line because the little lady that works the scale isle at Wolly World keeps running me off!!!! RTR
 
My wife is doing the 21day fix with a shake (shakeology). I am really liking the new style food she is cooking. She has lost over 20lbs and is slowly but surely getting more off. I 5'9" 203 have lost maybe 5lbs but cannot handle the workout. After doing one week with her work out I could hardly walk up or down stairs, and that's not good since I am a stay home dad with a 2yr old running around. My biggest thing is "healthy" snacks, that has helped me.
 
With everyone here on this forum being wheelers and all. Why not start a workout routine that involves body weight exercises and wheeling parts. All you need is a snatchblock, some extra cable or rope, a few D rings and things you can attach to and lift. Its your own cable style workout from the comforts of your shops. I actually started doing this and works pretty damn well. A little redneck engineering and the not wanting to waste my money on gym memberships so I can upgrade or replace parts.

Its kind along the same lines as the "prison workout" except without all of the anal raping (unless you are into that kind of thing) ;)
 
I was just telling the wife this morning that I need to lose a little weight. I'm starting to feel it. I'm 35 6'0 210-215. I really need to lose about 20-30 pounds. I really hate exercise though. I work my ass off during the warm months on the farm but the winter time gets me. I lost some weight last year with the low carb diet. May have to hit that again.
