I did a quick search and didnt see anything on this topic..

I was told that you can flip a low pinion D44 center section and use Reverse Cut gears and make it a HP..just flip the C's also...

please fill me in on this..

i dont think so... the HP gears i think require more "offset" than the LP has.

Just find a HP axle and chop it up, WAY easier...

No you cant. The oiling passages are all differant on the differant housings. Take a look at the two types side by side and you will notince there is a lot of differances.

Just flipping an axle upside down does not change the gear set...

some of the comp guys flip axles upside down to run a rear engine but most of them do not go on long trail runs they just run the rig long enough to run the courses. you will have an oiling issue but just move the drain plug up really high and fill her up make sure you move the vent up really high as well.

oh and don't forget if you flip it upside down your tires will travel in the opposite direction so to go forward you need to use reverse unless you put the engine in the back as well

thats why I asked about REVERSE cut gears..

I wanted to ask you guys so I could call bullshit on a friend...

also..it would be for the front end...

What kind of cousin ****ing retarded people you hanging out with? You can NOT put a HP gearset in a low pinion housing or vise versa.

If the HOUSING is a HP design as well as the gears then you could flip it and have a low pinion suitable for a rear engine rig. A low pinion housing and gearset flipped would make a HP that'd be good for a rear engine rig.

Now whats a nice cleancut fella like you know about redtube:haha:

I was thinking the visuals would help Spanaway Mudder because it seems like he is in great pain whenever he tries to think...

As for me I prefer to read and write at like litererotica

You can't flip a diff, you can move it front to rear, rear to front, left to right, right to left, but not turn it upside down.:eeek:

Except, apparently, for MB G-wagons. The driveshafts spin opposite directions out of the t-case so the diffs can be flipped and swapped end-for-end (HP in front, LP in the rear). At least that's what I was told...

Damn..

ask a fawking question and "those who know it all" can only FLAME instead of answering it..

Thanks for the correct information!!!!

and Slutload is better:awesomework: :flipoff:
