rockwell width with 43s

How wide are rocks with hubs out and 43s with 3.5 backspacing
depending on the rim width you should be 97 inches.
I am 94 inches outside of tire to outside of tire with hubs out, 5 inches of back spacing, with Walker Evans 8.5 inch wide aluminum bead locks.

Mine was 102 at one time ( 44 boggers on H1 with 3in of backspacing). Yes it is tight in places and you will get hung on a tree or 2.

How much of a pain is it to squeeze around in the woods at 95"-97" wide?

It's not as bad as you'd think if you front-dig through the trails. Mine is 122" WB and I follow Jeeps everywhere they go.

Looks like mine will end up about 97" wide and I'm counting on the rear steer to get me through the woods, just wondered how everyone else delt with the width. thumb.gif

My buddy has an M&M buggy on rocks w/ hubs out, originally on 42, and now 47s. It's wide but he did ok getting around on the trails. There were a lot of multi-point turns and "special" lines taken to get that monster through the trails. He just added rear steer and it was much easier to maneuver through the trails. Once he gets a feel for driving with the rear steer it should be bad ass. For now it helps get around much easier, and probably gets him a little mixed up on the trails as he's never had it before.

hook a rear tire on a tree and give it some gas. My daughters call it Tree steering.

Mine with rear steer will make a little Buggie with a straight axle look silly in tight trails.
