I have a 2003 Wrangler Rubicon with a Rubicon Express 5.5" Extreme Duty Long Arm kit and 315/75 r16 BFG Mud Terrains on 16x8 Procomp series 97 w/4.25 back spacing. I am happy with the kit, but I am noticing when I turn the wheels all the way left or riight the tire rubs on the lower control arms. My question is, is this normal? and if it is what is the best way to fix the problem? any help would be much appreciated.

the best way to fix the problem would be to get a wheel with a 3 3/4" offset or more if needed or just do a wheel spacer. you just need to get the tire further away from the control arm so it doesnt rub at full turn.

Yep... that or adjust your steering stops so it doesn't allow the steering to travel that far.

 My buddies XJ does this, too. 5.5 RE longarm kit, 33x12.5x15 on standard steel wheels... He refuses to get spacers or offset wheels. Says they make his rig "undriveable..."

Get the spacers. I know that there are horror stories about spacers but I have them on both my trucks and have never had any issues with them getting loose or anything. Of course I have mine with red locktite on the original lugs.:fawkdancesmiley:

Running 1.5" spacers on my rig with no problems. It's a good alternative to less backspacing on the rims if you want to keep your current wheels.
