Torquing a 1/2 inch lug to 200+ foot pounds of torque is idiotic. I know my impact gun will hit nearly 300. Yeah, it won't loosen. But it'll sure be prone to snapping. Now, if you're impacting your Mog wheels, they use a much larger stud, as do most 8 lug axles (mine are 5/8ths), and maybe that's OK. Maybe.
