DONT use the rubbers at ALL, even with goop. NO rubbers. They either split or smash out, or blowby pushes them out later.I like to put ultra grey around the cooling jackets aswell. NOT a huge bead just a fine smear with my finger. Those jackets are always pitted/rotten and need it. NEVER enough to smear away from the intended opening.
