Hi all,

Moved up to Seattle few months back, and was hoping to get some advice from anyone with experience in the area. My '86 4runner's clutch is on its way out, and wanted to get suggestions for any shops in/around the city that people are happy with - if it didn't cost an arm and a leg that wouldn't hurt either.

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

IMO do it yourself. Grab one of MC's kits and spend about 6 hours doing it right and it will be worth it. I did it in my street with a floor jack, 2 stands, tools, and a handful of wet TP (for the pilot bearing) lol

Here's the link to Marlin crawlers WS. I would recomend the 1200lb PP for DD use and the 1600 for crawling. The 1200lb is just right but any less grab and the 1600lb would be worth it.

Thanks for the suggestion 2slow, actually had planned on buying the 1200 lb Marlin one, heard nothing but good things. Unfortunately all my buddies with tools and technical knowledge that'd be able to help walk me through it are back in Cali, so no dice on the DIY - gonna have to bite the bullet and shell out the dough : (.

OK, I should warn you here.... The only people on here are the hard core mofos, none of them have ever taken anything to a shop in there life, they fix and fab everything themselves, and in a lot of cases they even have there own foundry so that they can make the pieces they have to replace.
They can completely rebuild a BBC alongside the freeway in rush hour traffic with nothing but there leatherman and some duct tape if they feel the need....:cheer:

Billy bobs is south of you, but I have heard good things about them from those non knowing folks...
