setting torsion bars

Ok im working on my IFS lift this weekend, i took off my torsion bars last weekend and i turned blue in the face trying to get them back up where they should be so i can place the stoper bar (that has a threaded hole where the torsion adjustment bolt goes). i had to use a 12ton bottle jack, a 2inch metal spacer had the jack maxed out, and have my dad stand on the edge of the door just to get it in there, is there a better way or is it always a pain? seems like my truck is too light of an ancher, oh my wheel was off the ground becouse of the torion bar pushing up

Did you have the wheels off the ground when you tried to install them? It is much easier if the weight is off the bars

+ a pipe wrench to twist them that last bit.... The lift in my buddies 94 chev was a huge pita..

no, but as i got to the top, the wheel was off from me trying to set the bar
