SFWDA Leadership meeting in Feb

James Dollar, Don Sanger, and myself attended the third quarter SFWDA meeting in Tracy City TN in September. The issues in Tellico were at the top of the list. The officers ask clubs to host meetings (the majority of which are open to the full membership).
I offered to host the leadership meeting (officers only). We came straight from Tracy City to Grayrock where I asked Tony permission to use Grayrock for this event. He was more than happy to comply and offfered the shop (for breakfast and meeting). He will allow us to use the park the balance of the day (very generous). When I shared this info with Mike and Brent, they were POd because they had tried the same thing (unsucessfully) before. They reluctantly agreed to go through with it and be the host.
The problem I need help solving is this... My membership with Southern is through CAOS. CAOS will compensate members costs of attending meetings (I have not asked for compensation). The crummy additude from CAOS officers when I succeeded at their failure and the fact that this has not been brought up by anyone from CAOS since that day in September. Someone from CAOS should confirm things with Tony and Southern. I will not be this person as I will not be a member of CAOS in February.
The crux of the problem is ethics I suppose. I could easily continue to be the go between with Tony and Southern as long as it is clear that I don't represent CAOS. By then my membership with Southern will show my affiliation with Hardline. I'm also sure that I can drop this on CAOS plate but they would likely drop the ball. It's no wonder Southern hasn't done anything for Alabama since we have done so little for them.
What do you think?

According to the reply I got on the CAOS board about membership was it has not been decided and will have to wait on the new officers. Take that at you wish

You set it up individually your club affiliation should not matter. Continue to coordinate with Southern and when the time comes we will all be there and do what we can to help prepare for the meeting

If this is the route you choose, I would be very into making this meeting.

I agree with you, they may not do much in Alabama because no one is out there putting in work for them, and the "public" trail riding in Al as far as I know is kind of a non issue. They would however be great to have on board even for privately owned folks like Tony, never hurts to have folks behind your cause.

CAOS meeting tonight. I may go. Do you want me to ask about it? I plan to ask about Southern Membership
and Southern work days. Anthing else I can stir up I mean ask about? I have been denied access to the Officer

Yep, lost my special privelege as well. Didn't have to stir it up as it was the most animated meeting. When asked about the SFWDA officers meeting the excuse for not acting on the meeting was their unsucessful attempt over the years. The new leadership (CAOS) saw the obvious benefits of hosting the meeting if I can continue to be the laison with Tony. Jimmy Nesbit has made arrangements for me to be included at the meeting along with 6 CAOS officers. IF this actually happens would anyone like to be my guest. I'd love to have the company (witness).

I think we as club should also be involved in the SFWDA meeting as it is discusses things that all of us have interest in, not just CAOS
