Posted my 4.3 on pirate today and a guy in Washington wants it... if the shipping isn't rape. Please school me on shipping a motor?!!! thumb.gif

Strap it down to a pallet and hope you have a friend that works in a warehouse to send it out for you. I have shipped many things in the past but and have found that if you have a buddy that has a hook up n the shipping department you are good. If not your motor boy is going to pay. huge price difference between the two.... If it was going out of the ham I could hook up up. Need to move to the south everything is better down here. Haven't had a snow storm since 93. get your move on son!!!

Well I'd love to shipp-er from work but we can only recieve stuff there now--since someone got fired for scammin the company with shipping personal ****. Anyhow... This dude's gonna pay and I'll bring it to the terminal... Roadway or whatever. Looks like I'll be building a crate?

Hell you don't need a crate. Just strap it to a pallet and send that bitch on.
This is how my motor arrived.

Go to a speed shop or dealer and see if they have any motor crates you can get. Strap that bitch down and go. Freight quote .com is located in KC lookum up they can get you some pretty sweet rates and they do all the work.

"I have 2300 cash right now ive been saving so thats the most I can drop with shipping." so damn that gets me close thumb.gif $2k was my asking price so if I have to come off $100 or so for shipping I'm still doing good :afro:

Pallet that **** and take it to FWD AIR at KCI... make sure he knows he has to ( and has ) a FWD air near him and tell him he has to pick it up at the facility. That will be the absolute cheapest method

You have to pay cash or M.O. at Fwd air as I recall, I shipped axles out of KCI like that for next to nothing $$ wise. There was a 7-11 one exit up that did MO's that I ran to and ran back to seal the deal. laughing1

wow, that's a lot of monies for a 4.3. holy ****. you're scoring there.

Yea but this is with the $$ harness/computer, headers, th350/toyota adapter, mini starter and all my other misc. crap to make it happen... Plus motor is brand fawkin new fresh rebuild. I think it's a fair price I'm just glad someone else does too :woody: I'm still losin a lil bit of cash but thankfully not a whole lot since the adapter came on my 85..

I shipped a complete 22RET wit rad and I think trans?? I forgot through Forward Air. You have to drive to KCI which blows for you south city slickers. It was reasonable and also 5+ years ago
