Should I be pissed?

Last time I ordered parts from a particular vendor I had paid for 2 day shipping. Took 4 days to get here. Now my most recent order was supposed to have free shipping and I got charged the $40 anyway. And on top of that, well here's the tracking history.



Maybe I'm just impatient or it's too early in the am to think straight but it seems I am not having great luck with this company. Keep in mind, this is only going from NC to PA.
 
Well I definitely blame fedex for the 4 day delivery last time.
This time, the label was created on monday and not picked up until friday. And on top of that, free shipping turned into $40 shipping.
 
I agree that if they say 2 day shipping it should be 2 day, but Ive done so much shipping of parts for my business that I don't expect to see something for a week, if it comes in earlier then that's just a plus. And fed ex is not the best at that game at all, UPS all the way for great service, it amazes me sometimes how fast they can get parts to you.
 
I have never had problems with ups. Unfortunately I don't get any say in who they ship through. I'll wait until I get my order and see if anything else comes up that needs to be brought to their attention. I'll be surprised if I see anything by Tuesday.
 
wonder what happened to the start up delivery service that had all those yellow trucks, I remember seeing a whole train full of them one time.I assume they went out of business when the economy tanked but :dunno:

DHL.... I loved them... they are international only now
 
Customer service used to be priority #1. Seems that's lacking more and more. Some people still have the customer service mindset. We need more of that.
 
I try to avoid the big guys like quadratec and 4wd hardware. I won't call out who I went through but I'd be willing to bet a lot of people on here who have done any major work have dealt with them and probably had a positive experience. They were happy to tell me what I wanted to hear, but follow through thus far has been a lacking experience. One thing I will give the big box stores though is they seem to have decent CS and shipping is usually spot on.
 
If the package got to you on the 21st then you got 2 day shipping. Actually it looks like you got 1 day shipping. It just took them 4 days to pick it up so they could ship it. :dunno:
 
Welcome to my ****in' world. I spend half my time fixin' someone else's ****up. I'd be happy if the ****in' right parts were in the box.

I don't ship FedEx much. But with USPS if I create the label it will create an initial scan of shipping label created / shipping info transmitted. I can then sit on that label basically indefinitely without scheduling a pickup or packaging anything. So with USPS that 4-day delay probably wouldn't be actually waiting for the pickup to occur, it would be waiting for me to package and schedule the pickup. The pickup can occur as soon as the following day so long as I get the request submitted online by midnight. In fact, I have submitted requests past 11pm many times and the pickup always occurs the next day. They have only skipped me once or twice in several years and even then they show up early the next day, earlier than they would had they been there the day before.

I have no dog in this fight but to me it appears that the shipper created the label and then waited 3 days to pack and request the pickup and the pickup occurred on the 4th day.

It was shipped via Home Delivery, which I do not believe is 2-day service. It is basically FedEx's version of UPS ground. But the OP didn't say that he was expecting 2-day on this shipment, just that he wasn't expecting to get charged for shipping this time and he did. 2-day was on the shipment before this one.
 
One thing I need to clarify is that the 2 day shipping issue was seperate from the current one with the $40 shipping charge. But both occured with the same vendor, about 2 weeks in between.

I see that now. I would be contacting the vendor about the 40 bucks in shipping. Good luck getting it straightened out.
 
Looks like the vendor printed the label 4 days before they gave it to fedex.
