Figured that there are a few drag racers on here so I thought I'd post up the drag truck I work on every now and then.

79 Chevy LUV Stepside
Chopped 3 inches
Body dropped 5"
Narrowed rear frame w/ a narrowed 9"
32x14 slicks
Fiberglass bedsides
sbc/turbo 350 moved about 9" back from "normal" location
Motor for it is a 327, bored .030 over, forged 10.5:1 pistons, sig erson cam, balanced rotating assembly, ported aluminum performer rpm heads, crane gold series roller rockers, etc

As soon as I run out of parts on the yota I'll bend the cage up for this thing and hopefully get a couple races in next season

4'1" to the top of the roof:eeek: :eeek:

and I thought wheelin was a waste of money. Would be fun but after 20 runs or so then what let it sit and rot?

Should go fast though

I dig it. I have an Isuzu pup (same as next body style LUV) with a 454/ th400 and 315 ET streets, no body mods like yours though. You definitely dont get tired of driving drag cars.
