sidewall repair

I have two 42" IROKS that that sidewall cuts (not all the way through, but deep) and I need them repaired. Brian H apparently no longer does this, but I need someone to fix them. Where can I take them? tractor tire place, semi tire shop?

I have a couple of army repair kits for tubeless tires for sale. they include plug thread, stitchers, patches, vulcanizing fluid, buffers, **** I dont know, etc. let me know if interested.

Most tire places wont touch them as it is a liability to them if it fails. One big reason that im not doing it anymore is that every tire i have fixed I tell people to not run under 10 psi in the tire and then they go to the snow and run them flat. The repair works loose and i have to fix it. I also tell people to put the repaired tire in the back and for some reason they put it up front where there is more weight. I will still do it but am going to be very picky who i do it for and what damaged tire i will repair. Send me the pics of the damaged tires...... [email protected] I want a pic of the damge inside and out with a tape measure in the pic. Also need to know how close to the bead the damage is.

Thats sounds like a flat repair kit. Not a section repair tire kit...

Im in the process of dealing with a tire place in everett that is willing to do it. Im waiting for a call back tomorrow to confirm, but it sounds like they might be the ticket, ill post up details after the job is done

I'll hang out and see how cc's 42's come out..I got a inch long gash, all the way thru about 2/3rds the way up the sidewall from the bead. Whats the lowest i can go brian?? 6?

Yup, a tire doctor..I wanna make these hoops last so i can afford some real compensators..Kinda like yours.

Oh nice! I have a 37" bias Irok with a small slice in the sidewall about an inch long, but its semi close to the rim lip, maybe an inch away. It doesnt go all the way through, but its deep enough that it seeps air out. Its just obnoxious really... Not sure if its even worth the effort

Ive been running it since you announced you were no longer doing it, haha. I want new tires anyway since these are down to about 50% tread, so like I said, it may not be worth the effort.

okay, I'm picking up my repaired tires tonight from Phelps Tire in Everett. My tires were not cut all the way but did leak. After talking with the guys up there they said they would not be able to repair a tire that was cut all the way through the sidewall. I know its possible but it doesnt sound like they will do it. So for you guys with full cuts you can try them, but no promises.

i sliced my 37" irock a few months back, 3" long and all the way through. i really didnt want to buy a new one and since i bought them through work, i dont get a road hazzard. they dont cover off road damage anyways. now this is a little back woods but if it works who cares. so i went to a fishing and tackle shop and bought some braided 50lb test line and went to work. all my bosses laughed at at me and said it would never work. i tried anyways, figured it was worth tryin to save a few hundred bucks. they told me they might be able to send it out for a section repair, but then decided i should buy a new tire. i used a grader patch on the inside and cross stitched the tire back together on the out side with a normal sewing needle feeding it through with a pair of pliars. to this day it still holds 50 lbs of air. my managers were a little pissed because they didnt get to sell me a new tire, but ****'em. whos laughing now....i wouldnt nessesarily reccomend running it down the freeway but at 35 miles an hour and as a spare it will work great. unfortunitly schwab still frowns apon this and it is still talked about as a joke at the monroe store. the slice didnt bulge at all.
