(Rant/story on) Decided late yesterday to finally install a new radiator (that I've had for months) into my son's TJ. He's going to be traveling next week and his has been seeping at the seams (for all the months that I've had the new radiator), so I thought "what the hell" I'll be a good father and help him out. I even decided to splurge for new silicone radiator hoses just for the added bling and because of the ultra high performance that a 4.0 provides. I decided there was no need to do this at my shop(where my tools are) and we could just throw it in at home in the driveway with minimal effort and minimal tools. Nothing to it! I worked from the top with screws and such while the kid worked from the bottom getting educated in tranny lines, lower hoses, and hot antifreeze. All went well and I must say the "all metal" TJ replacement radiator from "Extreme Radiator" is damn nice. Finally! Hose time! Upper silicone hose was perfect shape but I noticed damn tight going on. I thought nothing of it and figured it was just a good fit. Done deal! Lower hose was correct shape but about 4 " too long. I'm thinking ......ok they made it too long for any differences in TJ's (what differences?) and you just cut that off.....so I did. Everything looks fine and I hand it under the Jeep to the kid. It's now getting dark in the driveway and we're working with floodlights on the house and flashlights but that's OK cause we'll be done in a moment. One hour later I finally throw the new silicone lower hose across the yard, reinstall the old hose and button up the project! That sumbitch wouldn't slide on the engine block nipple for love or money. With my rib problem I couldn't roll around on the ground so I was working blind from the top while the kid was underneath. I chamfered the end of the thing, greased it like a pig...nothing...no dice and no go. It kicked my ass! One Jeep TJ silicone lower hose(slightly modified) for sale cheap! (rant/story off)

Kelly and Wyatt should be jealous of my typing!

I might should add.....No, I didn't cut off the end that went on the engine. The excess was at the rad end and it was all good. If I'd had my heat gun at home that bitch would have went on or been a pile of goo in my driveway!
