my buddy that works at a fork lift shop is hooking me up with an orbital valve. and i can make the hoses. and i was going to get a 2" bore 8" stroke cylinder. and i am using a full size ford dana 44. will a 8" stroke be to much? and put stress to the knuckles. also i am going to run my stock jeep yj pump. i may stretch the spring in it a lil.to give it just a lil more pressure. but will this be enough to turn it?

thanks. ive been wanting to do this so i can stretch my front end out some more. so i dont have to move the steering box. so far i have 100$ in the parts for full hydro. i mean why buy a kit for 1k when you can do it youself?

if your going full hydro, take the steering box off and junk it, you'll never miss it :dblthumb:

In my experience with stock pumps, a 2.5 bore is slower but I think it will help you on force. I run a 2.5 and a stock GM pump. Works pretty good, but it needs a stronger pump. It's all in the application your going after.

a lot of different opinions, who knows. I run a PSC 2x8 with stock pump with no issues, 1 tons with 39.5's, perfect for mine. I couldn't get the PSC rep to believe it though :****: Most of these guys running AG-rams are 2x8's

oh and how do i tell if the center of the orbital valve is open or closed center. someone on caso said that if it was a closed center that it would get hot and burn my pump up.

Ive ran the same single ended full hydro PSC kit on my current rig and last rig. Both on 47s no problems at all even somewhat street worthy.

Bumpo!
