Anybody got.a write up or thread I can follow still trying to.work out all the kinks in my 94 runner like the stupid egr code that keeps popping. So ideally I want to eliminate anything I dont absolutely need but also keep it running good.

Chopshop:corn:?

Anyone done this

Me and my roomates rigs both have only THREE vacuum lines.

Two to the steering pump. Those have nothing to do with the emissions only purpose is to idle up the engine when dry steering at idle for more steering hydro pressure.

Then one line from intake to the fuel pressure regulator. Mine is tapped off the plastic three way splitter/dist fitting on the top corner of the intake plenum.

Thats it, the rest of that crap is worthless.

get rid of all the lines, the metal rack of line between the vlv cover and intake too. Plug off all remaining open ports.

Remove the egr. Cut a steel plate and cap the head and intake opening for egr passage.

Anyone thats ever heard my roomate Jacks truck knows it runs very crisp and makes lots of power.

Works perfect.

The one in my Samurai is the same way, steering pump and fuel pressure and that's it, runs better than when I got it by a long shot.

If the pintle on the egr valve isn't leaking then just leave the valve and pull the vacuum feed.

The problem with doing this on sandtraps rig is I do believe the code will set which is what he is trying to fix?

Some of the later re's have a egr temp sensor that throws a code. If you just have a single wire going to it either plate it or leave it like crash mentions.

I pull all the lines other than the pcv, brake booster and fuel pressure regulator. I toss the lines for the steering pump too since I'm always on the throttle.

Really I just want it to stop popping the code plus I'm.sure I hooked up the vacuum lines all wrong so if taking it all out makes it run better and life easier I vote that I will keep it all around if I ever need to re snog it.
