Or did it seem like June Jam just didnt pull the crowd it usually does ? Im not complaining just analyzing. Hell I had a great time and always do at Grayrock.

Wonder if the moon dust and heat is killing the June Jam .

The prices were a touch lower ( I think by 5 bucks for a day and 10 for the weekend ) if I recall as well.

Just wondering out loud. I dont know what the actual #'s were attendance wise but it sure seemed like it didnt pull the crowd it has in past years.

Yeah I was thinking the same thing. I know I was dead ass tired after Saturday. The Heat was killer.

I was wondering the same thing. I saw an old thread somewhere from last year that said there were was about 500 registered. I overheard someone say Saturday afternoon this year there was a little over 100 registered... ???

There is so much of that, there were X number of rigs there crap, the only person that can give you a solid answer on that is Keith. I would be there was more than 100 rigs, but I will ask Keith and see.

I hate to say it and I am not trying to start ****, but we talked about it a bunch on the trails and it is true. The crowd that Gray Rock is pulling is giving the park a certain reputation. Drunk rednecks, drunk teenagers, many of which should not be operating vehicles. At the April ride P pulled some dumbass back to the pavillion from the mud pit that was hammered drunk, driving around with his baby in the back. Nothing for the kid to drink but beer, and the "father" and his buddies were providing resistance the entire time. P had to make them get a DD and not drive on the trail. Last weekend some drunkass rolled into Paul, sure it was funny and a good story. But if someone was standing next to P's rig talking they would probably be dead. Then the guys drunk buddy starts throwing the winch cable with D-ring attached at his front windshield sending glass flying. I personally jumped on that guys ass and told him to cut it out.

REminds me of that recent dumbass statement the guy made on CAOS about the Cleveland mudcomp....something about it being crappy because they didn't have alcohol, drugs, or fighting....and he wasn't going back! ::) ::)

Keith told me Sat morning that they had 100 on Friday alone. Im sure that # ws considerably higher Sat evening..

Yes , the locals have found Grayrock to be a place to act ignorant. All we can do is continue to try to police them. :-\

Let's not forget the genius that left his 2-3 year old at the top of Bents and Dents on Saturday. I thought he was in one of my buddies rigs? But you cared so little you did not even check to see

I would be interested to see how many were there. It is always hard to tell because everyone gets so scattered out. I know when we got there on Saturday morning around 9:30 we drove right up and there was no line at the counter. When we rode for a few hours on Sunday we saw 3 different groups. The first group had about 5 rigs, the next had 3 rigs, and the last one we saw had 7 rigs. We left there at 1:30 and they were getting ready to close it down.

That same guy in the yota that slammed into P was on Bents and Dents Saturday. His buddy had broken about middle ways up. David and I waited on him to winch him back down. David politely asked if we could go on ahead and run the trail while they finished getting his buddy off the trail. He said "Nah, I am gonna go ahead and run it now." He left his buddy in two wheel drive at the bottom of the trail and he could not even move his rig because it was slick, let alone even thinking about making it up the bypass. So we had to sit there while his buddy could not move his rig and then watch the red yota go up there and beat the ever living **** out it. I had my doubts that he would even make it because it ran like ****.

Stop being polite. Be a ****. Those guys are obviously dicks. Just go around 'em. I think you guys have the rigs to go around 'em as well.
Looks like someone needs to step up the internal enforcement around there.

I know here in Alto, TX they have had a lot of the same issues and finally had to start "trying" to crack down on the "drunken/disorderly" conduct. Alto is all about the puddin pushin, so Joel would probably be at home there. All hard core rednecks and the fighting is one of those "I came here for 2 reasons, drink beer, and kick some ass, looks like the beer just ran out."
