I was just wondering what exit and route you take off 90 to get up to Naches?

I have dropped down (had a street rig and started from 410) to Manastash rd -> Cove -> s Thorp Hwy then back on 90 at that Thorp fruit stand. Is there a save place to park a truck and trailer for the day off of Manastash rd or is there a better location?

I do not know the Exit number but if you take the Hanson Rd exit. (Elensberg)
Follow Hanson Rd to Cove Rd.
Left on Cove RD to Manashtash Rd.
Right on Manashtash Rd .
Follow Manashtah Rd to to CampGround and staging area. There are trails there that head to Quartz MT, Manashtash Ridge and every where else you want to go.

I do not remember the name of the camp ground but it is twords Buck Meadows.

Check with some of the guys at EWOR (CEG)

manastash and riders camp are 9 miles from the pavement.
i have parked at barber springs road for day trips, tow rig and trailer have never had any problems there. if your just looking to goto the rocks i would park at barber springs.

Take the Elk Heights exit and follow Gasmans directions, cove rd to manastash dr. After the pavement ends on manastash drive there is a left turn (barber springs) with a bridge to cross the creek and camping areas. I would probably park there and go up barber springs road, keeping right until you find 4w694 to the rocks.:awesomework:

I think you guys are talking about riders camp? Scott, if you go for a day park your truck at the cut off for Barber springs. The cops over there will get ya if you drive a ORV on Manastash road even though I did it Saturday with no issues....If you want to camp I would go further up to Manastash campground because it's right at the trail head for Tripod flats...Yes the Thorpe exit is the one to take.

Park at barber springs road then just take the road up to the rocks

got it I think I knw enough to get lost :awesomework: thanks

Exit 101 is Thorp. Go right at the off ramp. Right on Cove Rd. Straight for awhile until you run into Manastash Rd. Right on Manastash Rd. When the pavement ends you will have about a mile of dirt before you get to Barber Springs on the left. You'll know it by the concrete bridge over the creek and the hole in the rock on the right side of Manastash road. I would advise having a NW Forest pass if you are leaving a tow rig anywhere around there. There are at least 3 ways into the rocks from Barber Springs.

So where can I pick up a NW forest pass?

Don't get off at Elk Heights... either get off at Thorp (101) or Ellensburg (106)

Once you get up Manastash, if you just want to get to the Rocks then thru Barber is the fastest. If you want to run some trail to the Rocks, go thru Tripod

Oh yeah:looser:
I was confused.
But I think I did go Elk Heights one time and went up past Ice Water Creek to Manastash.

you can get there thru Elk Heights, it is just faster to get off at Thorp... unless you need gas or groceries, then go to Eburg.

just made a run from 410 outside of greenwater off fs 70...and ran over to I-90 and came out at the Kachees lake exit...was a good run and will get ya to Nachees

I (we) made a quick exploratory trip out to Naches today. Found the parking lot right where you told me. We ran up the road and found 2 different ways into the rocks one into moon rocks and one into funny rocks (well we took one in and one out) It was a great day although I had an issue that limited my day but I still had fun (don
