When it comes to this topic bouncing/racing and crawling are two very different mindsets.  Most of the guys racing are out to have the fastest time, make it the farthest up, and put on a show.  With that comes a high degree of probability that some form of damage with occur....tho I'm sure they rather not break either.

When it comes to crawling and trail riding each person and or groups has their own riding style. Sometimes lots of throttle is used to compensate for lack of driving skill, sometimes it's just being new to the sport and not knowing, some rigs take more throttle than others to get over different obstacles, and sometimes people just like to gas it. All of which is ok...it's your rig.

As for me Id rather not break at all....but it's part of the sport and its gonna happen. To me there is a big difference is breaking because of bad luck and or normal use ( as in your case kush) as opposed to being stupid or being on a trail you know u have no business being on with an incapable rig.

I drive a long way to go wheel...take time off from work and have a good bit invested...so my whole goal is to drive back on the trailer at the end of the day. I drive my rig hard when needed..but i pretty much know what itll take and what it wont. I carry lots of spare parts/ multiples of everything. I also have spent a lot of money on parts that u can't see by just walking by my rig....that's the stuff that keeps you together and riding.
