2002 GMC Yukon 1500 it has 167k miles , the interior is rough i would say 6 out of 10 the passenger window has a hard time rolling up and down the frame and under body is a little rusty only surface rust thou , if someone wanted to put a little bit of money in it it would be a great car for a kids first car or hunting/woods machine or just a dd or buy it for the motor and trans for a buggy and sell the rest , the trans is newer it only has 30 k on it , the tires have 50-60% tread left #k firm or trade for a good work truck or? , hit me up @ [email protected] or text 828387six5one4 located in Linville NC 28646

How does the 8.1 tow? I was thinking about trying to trade my 05 ECSB 1500 Z 71 for a 8.1 tow rig. Mine pulls the jeep really well but the transmission went out on the way back from Ivy last time. It's getting rebuilt and built up a little as we speak but I think it's time I go for a bigger truck.

I just started looking into big blocks last night but mostly trucks what kind of mileage do the Burbs get. Curious if the Allison helps the trucks at all since the burbs just have the 4l80e

im getting 14to15 mpg towing as long as it's flat hills are a different story... it gets 16ish unloaded

That's awesome. My truck has the L33 and that's about what it gets unloaded and then about 10 towing the jeep. I need to look into these more. Would you be interested in my 05 1500 with 130k, power everything, BOSE, good shape but it's got a hole rusted in the cab corner and some signs of rust along the rockers. Other than that it's a nice clean truck that makes a great DD/tow rig. I'm at work now I'll try and find pics when I get home

had a 03 burb with the 4l80 and I actually liked it better than the 03 4door with the Allison I have now. the Allison is more beefy, you can tell for sure but the 4l80 was a smoother trans. just my opinion. both have the 8.1 of course. I havnt checked mileage yet but I bet the burb was better just based on the Allison drags the rpms out farther between gears

My 8.1 2500 avalanche with a 4l80 got 10mpg's pulling jeep 85mph on freeway,got 12mpg at 45mph on back roads with nothing behind it and the a/c off
