I have all of these threaded tabs on my buggy. Look like normal "LITTLE" tabs for holding skins on, and dash plates, and the floor pieces in place. They are just small 1" long by 1/2" wide with a 1/4" threaded hole in them. They are so trick. You dont need nuts on the backside, or welded nuts on the backside of the tabs. Just stick to tube, and weld the tab. A lot of my holddowns are blind on the back so this is like the only solution. Plus its lightweight, no extra weight for the fasteners.

Anyone know where you can score them? I'm sure a pic would help, I'll try to get one tonight. I've looked high and low, and am thinking I'll just make them myself. Nothing a drill press, and sitting in front of the TV with my tap wont fix. But if they are offered under a $1 which I think is high for them, I'd settle up with a couple handfuls.

I've tried all the big Circle track, and stock car fab site, like A & A but no love. Anyone have any leads they can think of?

Do you have a race shop in your area that you can go in and look for em? That is where I would start and talk to the guys there and see what they say. We have a speed shop in town that has a bunch of small things like that, and if they don't have it they have a good idea where to get it.

Shoot of all the places, I even looked at but didn't look in the right place. McMaster-Carr

Hell the 3/8" bolt ones are 6.15 for a 25pack. I may go 3/8 cause those are everywhere.

I picked up a handful at metal by the foot for CHEEP... like maybe 15 cents each or something...
Last time I was in there the guy "owner" was a ****. You talking about the one down east of downtown just off 70?

They aren't worth a **** for most stuff.... metal is way overpriced.. I just happened to stumble across these one day while in there....

Got home, confirmed sizes, and I think mine are O.G. McMaster pieces they even have the curve on each end. Anywho, a 50 pack for $8.55 before tax and shipping. Wait and find out how bad they screw me on that in the morning.
