I'm guessing its a simple formula, that I know I've seen before. Anyone know it?

Thanks, heres the calculation if anyone wants it.

RPM x tire diameter
-------------------------------------------------
diff ratio x trans ratio x tc ratio x 336

just playin around with this and got a couple questions

What do you think the rev limiter is set at on a 3.8 V6 from a ford taurus? 5500?

What would you guess the diff gears are in a ford taurus? I'm guessing around 3:1

I'm just trying to figure out the Max MPH my buggy should hit and then I'll go out and pace it. Last time I hit the rev limiter it didn't seem like I was going fast enough.

here's the rest of the info needed:
tire - 40"
diff gearing - 4.10
it's an OD trans but I'm just assuming 1:1 for the trans gear - not sure it's going to OD?
the taurus diff gearing will be the transfer case gearing
and the rev limiter will be the RPM's

putting in 5500rpm and 3:1 tcase I get 53mph and i really don't think it's going that fast but who knows
I'll pace it sometime this week and find out but it'd be good to know what it "should" do

1) 4 Hi
2) Turn GPS on
3) Peel the fuc out

:flipoff1:

I've started driving my piece of **** around town, so I'm trying to get a feel for how fast I'm running at certain rpms.

Peeling out isn't a problem, even with my little 6 cyl. :flipoff1:

Take me up on my offer for Harlan, and we might have to set up our own little KOH (king of harlan), we'll find out how quick that blinging ass beach wagon is, and more importantly if you can control it!

Ouch.

I can control it.....maybe. I will have lots of practice by then.

I am not shitting you though, it is way fast. Scary fast.
