Speeding in North Al.

This was an email that was forwarded to me at work and I thought I would share it since a lot of us on here will be in or around the North Alabama / Huntsville area.


The past couple of days, I've noticed several motorcycle cops up and down the Parkway giving out tickets. I thought to myself, when did HSV get motorcycle cops. Well, evidently it happened this past weekend. Yesterday I spoke with one of Emma's friends' Dad who has buddies on the police force. He said that all of Madison County has been "saturated" with State Troopers because we have the highest mortality rate in the state. I believe he said there are about 100 of them in town staying at the Hilton and they'll be here until the end of July.
So watch your speed and all other things while driving in the next month. I just took the lead inserts out of my shoes and will be using the cruise control to help me stay out of trouble.

That's amazing that you say that Madison County has the highest mortality rate in the state. :****: I don't live in the area but have traveled it quite a bit and don't see any real high speed areas other than the 565. This weekend is going to be trouble everywhere though.

This doesn't come as a surprise. Yesterday on the way home a State Trooper on a bike was trying to catch a speeder. He ended up wrecking and med flighted to the hospital.

Damn that sux. I have noticed on 565 right around the Space center, there is always someone pulled over there. I have been in Huntsville frequently that last couple of months and make sure I do the limit through that area. :****:

HELL...........here in GA. they started a SUMMER SPEEDER CRACKDOWN ,with doubled fines for speeding,

and an AGRESSIVE DRIVER LOOKOUT PROGRAM......

AND IT STARTED ABOUT A WEEK AGO ............... AND SUMBITCH.........

I was planning on heading to Athens Georgia in a couple of weeks to meet Jason at Classic City Off Road. I will have to watch the speed limit for sure.

DAMN RIGHT...............the speeding fine on I-20 will have an extra $200.00 tacked on to it for those caught goin over 80 mph.....

thats right.......$200.00 EXTRA !!

AND,just use youre turn signals,don,t cut anyone off,.....OR FLIP THEM OFF, or use youre horn at JACKASSES, to avoid an AGRESSIVE DRIVER TICKET..

THIS CRAP IS SUPPOSE TO LAST TILL FALL.........

Wich really MESSES UP my ride to & from work EVERY DAY!

BUT THE WAY I SEE IT , THIS IS HOW THE STATE GETS MONEY THE EASY FAST WAY..

my wife works in district court and there are 20 extra troopers in madison county toe only write tickets, no warnings, no tolerance.
she said they came in monday morning and got over 100 warrants to serve while they are out if the see the people
she said her office had no warning of any of this
but on the bright side they are leaving friday 7-3
