Meth capital of the world!!!
Looking to line the tub on my jeep, Has anyone used herculiner, duplicolor or bondo brand? Was looking at GI Joes and they have all three. Talked with my line-x deadler and he still wanted $700:wtf: So looking for feedback on which one seems to work best, look good and last!!!

got a friend that used the bondo brand and if that gets a little wet it sure gets slick. But he was saying he didn't add enough sand in to the mix to give it more texture

I used Herculiner on the bottom four inches of my truck to provide some protection. also used it on the sliders. the only drawback was to get the stuff consistent, I had to dab it on using a brush.
far as the durability, seems good. the color does fade to flat.

Sounds more like he didn't want to deal with a non-typical job. Did that include having him R&R any interior stuff or was that delivering it to him pre-stripped and ready to go?

I used Herc and aside from being messy stuff it has killer grip and is easy to paint on being you use a brush and roller. The kits are usually $100 but I got mine from Schucks for $60. Just make sure if you leave the roller overnight that you remove the roller tube. Very unforgiving if you leave it and want to use it the next day for a second coat. Heres a shot of my Bronco when I finsihed it up.

I was quoted $650 from Line-X for my YJ. I didn't think that was to bad.

I plan on doing the Line-X, much better stuff.

Had the bed of my Toyota Rhino-Lined, love it , been holding up great for about 7 years so far.

I've done the truck bed in the TR and 2 interiors (trac/kicks) with herculiner.

Works great, VERY tough (I'll get a pick of the rockers all crushed and scraped with herc still holding strong). The trak/kicks also are quite "lift challenged", so it's not uncommon for me to tilt a rig to drain the floor out an open door :D

The key to whatever product you use is proper preperation.

I use a wire rope wheel to gently strip to primer (just a hint of the primer showing through the scrathed paint), follow with the scotch sanding stuff (especially in areas the wire wheel can't reach), cleanup and wipe down with xylene. Disposable brushes (a good supply) work really well to dab the stuff when doing and interior (the roller only used where possible on the final coat).

I've really only used herculiner, and won't get the duplicolor stuff since the rig I saw that had it was slickery. But, that's my $.02

Stay with hurculiner. It looks the same as my rhino and holds up just as good. My father in law tried dupli-color stuff and took it off and re did it with hurc because it was coming off.
