Cole, I saw your post on Pirate about the Stak cases and wanted to ask you about it without messing up the original post.
Do you know of alot of Stak cases that pop out of gear? Anyone else see or hear this? :dunno:

I am fighting my 3rd case right now and not having much luck. I know several others running them without problems, but not sure they see the abuse mine does.
Tony and Ken at Stak are very nice and act determined to figure out my problem, but they act like it is very uncommon and I am having a hard time believing that.

I know I'm not waiting 6-27 weeks for one now.

Yeah, from what I have seen, you abuse worse than me!  :flipoff1:
I am hoping it really is a fluke, because the 3 speed is really nice to have. :'(

Mine has done it also in the low and super low just lived with it because there is not too much switching there anyways... I have a latch to hold it in place.they say the later cases do not have the problem and that they would fix it no problem.

A guy that I wheel with here got a Stak when it first came out. I think he sent it back like 3 or 4 times and it still pops out of gear.

Holy ****!
How come I never heard of this before?
Anyone experience these problems with an Atlas?

I have a difficult time shifting our Atlas from low to high and going to front only when sitting still, but that's about it. Other than that it's been perfect.

had mine in two differnt vehicles , 5 years , a lot of riding..it's the only major component of my buggy that hasn't had failure of some sort. after reading all this about the Stak..I think I'm just going to buy a 3.0 Atlas and swap it in for XRRA events.

Buddy of mine has an early one, it has popped out of gear and you literally have to kick it into 4 wheel with your foot. If i did have one it would be cable shifted.

I love me Atlas - can be a frustrating sometines if you are in a bind it wont shift - just have to move the jeep a little but it has never jumped out of gear.

My buddy with the Powerstroke buggy has a 3 speed Stak. He had it in is Truck before the buggy and it always popped out of gear. He has sent it back 2 or 3 times and it still does the same thing. Granted the people at Stak are really nice people and have helped him every time, but it still gets annoying.

I have heard about people having to pull staks and send them back over and over. I like my atlas but it is hard to shift, no popping out of gear though

atlas is the **** all transfer cases are hard to shift if they are in a bind but my atlas is the strongest part of my buggy
