Well that answers that question. I will stick with stock torque convertor. Now let's see if I can get a second opinion on something else. I want to rebuild the transmission I have now. 2nd and 3rd gear are gone. Severall transmission guys have told me that the sprage? gear is broken. One guys to rebuild it back stock and any upgraded parts is a waste of money. Another guy recommends an upgraded sprage gear which is 300 more. This guy is Billy Landers and he is supposedly the guru of dirt track auto transmissions in the shoals area. I am somewhat leaning towards letting him rebuild it and spend the extra money but wondered what others thought about just rebuilding stock.
