What is the easiest way to get rid of my column and go with a simpler idea with a quick release? Where is the best place to get the parts? :fish:

Speedway motors has all the steering wheel quick connects, steering wheels, steering shaft u-joints, etc that you would need. Then you connect it all together with some 3/4 tube or shaft.

Or, if you want to lay hands on stuff, dirt track car shops usually have LOTS of this stuff in stock. I got most of mine from Full Throttle in Nashville. Cool shop with lots of stock and lots of advice on what works/doesnt work and why.

x2 on speedway motors.....don't know about on jeeps but i just started taking all the plastic cover and turn signal crap off my steering column and lo and behold underneath all that there was a peice of tube with the splined shaft sticking out of it, all i had to do was weld the speedway motors insert to the end of the shaft.

I am full hydro, just need a cheap way to get rid of this colum ;D Thanks for the replys. While I have your attention. I am about to have to buy new u-joints for my shafts. What would you recommend? I run longfeild 300m but the are from 07 and galling

I'd just get the Long joints polished up and run better grease in them.
