This is a article written for the Toyota Owner magazine unfortunately David Zartman publishing editor is not interested stating that they are more into "hard parts technical"
I feel as a Mechanic the the Hard Parts are protected by the grease, Critical information to the Toyota owner,

The Exact Ingredients of this Product are a Trade Secret,
Parker Toyota is where I started, Talked to Tony there, service manager, since that point I have encountered a void of mis information,

Hopefully the moderators here can keep this thread of a more technical theme,

I have been researching this for over a year now and may not have all the answers, but know who to point to for more info,
This mis information is intentional, and I have begun to bring out the correct information for the Toyota owner

I recently did a repair/modification to a 1988 Toyota Land Cruiser where the customer

changed his gears from 4-11
 
Bullshit and/or heresay.
There is STILL NO ****ING PROOF IN THAT ARTICLE.
Good god this is getting old.
The repair manual, from the factory, says to use moly/sulph/lithium grease

(g) Coat the joint inner parts and inside of the outer
shaft with Molybdenum disulphide lithium base
grease.

Why in the hell would they lie in their own goddamned repair manuals?

Frank what are the reasons behind the lube cover up that apparently extends all the way to the Toyota training centers?

Honest straight forward question and I'm sure we'd all appreciate an answer to match.
 
So you are basing everything off plagiarism? Where is your "own" proof?
 
Soooo, the mechanic/technician working on said LC had to BORROW the 54mm socket from the vehicle owner???????????? What a crock....
Frank, you are beating a dead horse....There is STILL no proof in that article!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Until YOU provide SCIENTIFIC PROOF of your claims, this thread is dead....:rolleyes:
