Anybody had problems with this shaft? I have broke the shank off 3 arbors in the shaft. The last 2 times I was able to remove. This time I had to throw the shaft in thye junk pile and buy new. ??? ??? ???

I broke one arbor in mine. Problem I ran into was the set screws flinging out so I put lock tight on them. The lock tight got down around the arbor and locked it into place. I have to drill the arbor out and luckily did not damage the shaft. Its a pain in the ass so I ground the outside of my arbors a tick so now they are easier to remove.

I've had the same problem. I've broken at least 4 arbors and had to drill and tap the piece left in the end to get them out. The set screws in mine will not stay tight, which is part of the problem. The other is that the quick release on the hole saw will get loose and allow the saw to wobble. I recently stopped using the quick release style and haven't had any problems so far.

I called Swag and they told me to remove the paint so they slide in and out easy. The also said they had never heard of a shank breaking off. I call BS!!!!
